L'École du Samedi propose à tous les enfants de se familiariser avec la langue française et sa culture.
Nous proposons deux groupes : le 1er pour les enfants francophones ou pour les enfants qui ont acquis pendant un certain temps la langue française (un ou 2 ans passés dans une école française sont suffisant). Pendant ces cours les enfants se concentreront sur la compétence orale et écrite. L'autre groupe pour les non-francophones pendant lesquels les enfants se concentreront sur les compétences orales et plus particulièrement la conversation. Le but de ces groupes étant de lier le 2ème au 1er groupe. Apprendre un autre langage ouvre de nouvelles portes au futur de nos enfants. Un instructeur pour 8 enfants maximum.
Pourquoi apprendre le français ? Le français est la 2ème langue étrangère la plus enseignée dans le monde après l'anglais. A peu près 45% du vocabulaire anglais provient de la langue française. Quand vous apprenez le français vous enrichissez vos compétences grammaticales ainsi que votre vocabulaire en anglais. La littérature française est l'une des plus riches et la plus influente du monde moderne Européen, caractérisant des auteurs comme Rabelais, Montaigne, Racine, Proust, et Marguerite Duras. Plusieurs philosophes bien connus sont aussi français parmi lesquels Descartes, Pascal, Rousseau, Voltaire, Sartre, et Simone de Beauvoir. Le prestige de l'art français, la musique, la danse, la haute couture, la cuisine, et le cinéma font que le français est une langue culturellement très importante.

*Possibilité d'ouvrir une classe supplémentaire le mercredi eu Jeudi après-midi de 15-17h (demi-journées pour les écoles publiques) afin de renforcer les connaissances et permettre d'accélérer l'apprentissage de la lecture mais aussi celui de l'écriture en cursive. Cette classe doit être prise en supplément du Samedi et non seule.

Welcome to the All About Mandarin Academy!
We are premier Chinese language educators, and we develop academic and activity-based Mandarin curriculum to enhance students' proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) as a foreign language.

Sing'n Speak Spanish
Sing 'n Speak Spanish makes learning conversational Spanish easy and fun. It carries high educational goals but is playful - with songs, humor, visuals, interactive puppetry, games, role-playing, and much more! A music CD and workbook keep Spanish learning fun throughout the week and reinforce vocabulary at home. Classes meet on Saturdays throughout the school year with a maximum of just 12 children per class.
Sing 'n Speak Spanish is a multi-level curriculum that has been taught in more than 150 lower schools to over 10,000 students. To learn more about us, go to www.singnspeak.com.
Sing and Speak Spanish is providing classes opened to children from the ages of 5 to 10 year old in a fun and academic setting.
Italian American Academy at the San Diego French American School
The Italian American Academy is a not-for-profit organization of parents and educators whose goal is to promote and preserve the Italian language and culture. Our programs are taught by mother tongue educators and they are open to all preschool and elementary school children. All the classes are held in a fun and nurturing environment and our programs blend games and fun activities with academic subjects such as Italian History and Geography. Particular emphasis is given to song and the games Italian children play. The entire program is designed to give children a full immersion in the Italian language and its culture. All communication and activities, inside and outside the classroom, are held in Italian.
The Italian American Academy is pleased to announce the launch of three different programs at the San Diego French American School: Italian for Italian Speakers designed for children who have previously been exposed to Italian, Italian for Beginners designed for beginners with no previous exposure to the language and Play and Learn Italian "le petit italiano" a fun and playful class designed for preschoolers.
Italian for Beginners
Saturday 11:00-1.00PM
This class is specifically designed for children who are new to the Italian language. Although cultural contents will be the same for all classes, the Italian for beginners class will focus on speaking and language acquisition through a variety of fun activities and games. Cost: $500 for 15 classes/2hours. Programs will start on March 3rd through June 23rd. No classes on 4/7 and 5/26
Italian for Italian Speakers
Saturday 9:00-11.00AM
This class is designed for children who have previously been exposed to the Italian language through family communication or in other school settings. Children will have an opportunity to improve their conversation skills, learn how to read and write in Italian and learn elements of Italian history, geography, and culture. Cost: $500 for 15 classes/2hours. Programs will start on March 3rd trough June 23rd. No classes on 4/7 and 5/26
