By Bénédicte Brouder

Thank you to all parents for their generosity and kindness: we enjoyed a lot of delicious treats.

Congratulations to all students and teachers for their creativity and imagination, as well as the careful care they applied to their home-made costumes!

Thursday October 20: day 4 in Joshua Tree

By Bénédicte Brouder

“This morning, students learned how to break down camp and how to use GPSs to navigate through the desert. they were excited to be sent off in groups of 4 or 5. It was a great experience for them in terms of independence, cooperation and teamwork with their peers.

Now is time to board the bus soon and come back!”

Wednesday October 19: day 3 in Joshua Tree

By Bénédicte Brouder

“A wonderful day in Joshua Tree State Park today!

Both groups rock climbed at the amphitheater and successfully went through the Tallis Cave or subterranean exploration area. There were lots of personal challenging today and accomplishing individual goals while cheering each other on!

See you tomorrow!”

“Hello from Pali!
In this third day, we got to do all the activities we didn’t do on monday and tuesday as our groups exchanged their programs. Some of us did Art in Nature, Orientering, archery and ballon rescue. Now we can say we experienced everything Pali had to offer.
Tonight though is the big night! Smores over fire pit and the talent show. Check up the blog tomorrow morning for pictures of our show!”

“Hello San Diego, Here is Pali!

This second day was even more exciting than the previous one. In the morning the first group went in the woods to practice archery and to learn how to orientate ourself with a compass and maps. Some of us revealed themselves as skilled as Katniss Everdeen or Robin Hood!  The second group learned how to build a parachute and wooden structures.
But the best moment of the day was this afternoon : we climbed trees on high ropes. Some of us even managed to do the leap of faith and hit the yellow ballon up in the air.
Tonight’s program : movie night and astronomy.

More adventures, tomorrow!”
