Work is in progress for the broadcast journalism editorial team: students have been working on the principles of journalism since the beginning of the year. They are now fully knowledgeable of what a journalist does, how he/she collects information and makes decisions. They are now starting another step of the design process with the writing of news. This is a meticulous work that requires reflection, teamwork and builds the ability to express oneself. Our Chief Editor has led her team as it should so that everyone had a voice. The students will soon go behind and in front of the camera and record their first broadcast.
Patience, we will enjoy their first edition of the school year in a few weeks!
Every year, the Building Bridges workshop gives an opportunity to 5th graders to ask questions about middle school to 7th graders. Group based activities enabled 5th graders to get answers about many aspects of the middle school life they will discover next year!
