Virtual Summer Camp

Mini Camps for SDFAS students - 5th-8th grade

June 22 – July 2nd

We are offering four daily camps with our staff. We hope you will enjoy them! To register click here.

  • Virtual Book club in English with Emmanuel Parello from 9:00-10:15 am on weekdays.
  • Virtual Cross stitch and conversation in French with Marion Addo from 10:30-11:45 am on weekdays.
  • Virtual Aquarelle with Eva Rodriguez from 12:30-1:45 pm on weekdays.
  • Virtual Math Summer Club with Nicolas Giot from 2:00-3:15 pm on weekdays.

Virtual Summer Camps

  • 7 weeks of camp, from June 22 to August 7th, 2020
  • Monday to Friday (Except July 3rd)
  • For children ages 6 (or current Kindergarten) to 17 years old

Preschool and Kindergarten

🖍️ Drop-Off and Pick-up of School and Personal Items

Tuesday, June 16th

PK/K teachers will have any student work and belongings available for you to pick up according to the schedule below. Library books may be returned or they may be kept over the summer, unless you are not returning in the fall, in which case they need to be returned.

  • PK0 – 9:00 am
  • PK1 – 9:45 am
  • PK2 – 10:30 am
  • Kindergarten – 11:15 am

Protocol: All students, parents, staff and faculty members must wear face coverings over their mouth and nose while outdoors on school grounds. Parents and individuals in the car – please wear a mask during the drive-through drop exchange. To minimize contact, for everyone’s safety, please place items to be returned in the trunk of the car. Please enter driveway, drive toward the curb in front of the school where you will see tables set up and staff members to assist you. If items are in the trunk, please open the trunk, a staff member will retrieve items from your car and will place any student belongings into the trunk. If your car does not have a trunk, items may be handed through the passenger side window and collected by a staff member wearing protective gear. Please exit the driveway as soon as you have completed the pick up / drop off exchange. 

Preschool Open for Children of Essential Workers

 

  • We are planning to be open until at least July 31st. If you are an essential worker, and interested in sending your child back to campus, please click here to convey your interest. Do not hesitate to contact Babeth and Sophie to learn about our thorough health and safety protocols. 


Elementary School

📔 Drop-Off and Pick-up of School and Personal Items

Wednesday, June 17th – 11:00 am to noon

A staff member will have any student work and belongings available for pick up. Textbooks do not need to be returned. Library books may be returned or they may be kept over the summer, unless you are not returning in the fall, in which case they need to be returned.

  • 1st – 4th grade – Any request regarding school supplies or any other material left in classrooms should be sent to Francis at fcarlier@sdfrenchschool.org 
  • 5th grade – Drive-through to pick-up personal items and return Chromebooks, iPads, cases, and chargers. Please place your student’s Chromebook, charger and case (neoprene sleeve) in a bag labelled with the student’s name / grade / class. Masking tape with a permanent marker works well. If there is any issue with the device, please write the issue on a sticky note inside the labeled bag.

💻 Drop-Off and Pick-up of School and Personal Items

June 17th and 18th 

Following the schedule below, Chromebooks, cases, and chargers need to be returned. Please place your student’s Chromebook, charger and case (neoprene sleeve) in a bag labelled with the student’s name / grade / class. Masking tape with a permanent marker works well. If there is any issue with the device, please write the issue on a sticky note inside the labeled bag. Please return any books loaned to students by teachers – including any text books and any novels from the classroom libraries of Ms. Aseltine, Mme Addo, and Ms. Regan. Library books may be returned or they may be kept over the summer, unless you are not returning in the fall, in which case they need to be returned. If your student still has belongings in the lockers, these could stay until the Fall.  The belongings left in classrooms will be taken to the auditorium.  In keeping with Social Distancing guidelines we are asking that if you need to pick up your child’s belongings, please arrange for a time with the school’s office.  Many thanks and wishing you a great and healthy summer break.

8th Grade – Please return graduation gowns, labeled with the student’s name. You may keep your cap and tassels.
