Morning drop off Procedure

For safety and insurance reasons, students may not arrive to school before 7:30 a.m. The school will not accept responsibility for students on school grounds before that time. Children cannot wait by themselves in between the two entrance gates without adult supervision. As indicated above, extended care is billed in 30-minute increments. Therefore, a 30-minute flat fee applies for student arrival any time between 7:30 and 8 a.m.

Pre-Elementary School: As of 7:30 a.m., drop off your children directly with the Extended Care staff on the playground (weather permitted) in the Pre-Elementary school area. To sign in (required by State Law) please use your personal Kinderlime code on the iPads provided by the school.

Elementary School and Middle School: As of 7:30 a.m., drop off your children directly with the Extended Care staff on the main blacktop (weather permitted). Be sure to check in with a staff member.

Afternoon Pick up Procedure

Your child will only be released to a person legally authorized (listed in FACTS). If you need to add an additional person to the list, please update your FACTS account and contact Babeth Esterly for pre-Elementary School (besterly@sdfrenchschool.org) and Stephanie Humbert for Elementary School and Middle School (shumbert@sdfrenchschool.org). The person picking up the student must be prepared to show ID.

Pre-Elementary School: To sign out (required by State Law) please use your personal Kinderlime code on the iPads provided by the school. Once the preschool gate is locked after the pick-up rush hour, parents will enter the school through the front parking lot main gate.

Elementary School and Middle School: Be sure to check out at the outdoor desk just inside the main front gate. Pick up children from the blacktop or in a designated classroom.

Once your child has been signed out, do not remain on the campus. When not enrolled in the extended care program, students need to stay under their parents’ supervision at all times while on campus.

If your child is still present at 6:00 p.m. the extended care staff will call the parents or guardians. If they cannot be reached, staff will call the emergency contacts. If no one can be reached, the extended care staff will have no choice but to call Child Protective Services (858) 560 2191.
