Ms. Regan, our English and Social Studies Teacher, has been running a Classroom Economy Program in 6th grade for a few years now.
The Classroom Economy Program enables any educator to teach children financial responsibility through fun, experiential learning.
It is a simple classroom economic system based on the idea that students need to earn school “dollars” so that they can rent their own desks. By bringing real-world scenarios into the classroom, students see the impact of their decisions to save, spend, and budget.
If you are curious about the program, ask your student and/or visit www.myclassroomeconomy.org.
