Congratulations to the SDFAS Girls and Boys Cross-Country teams who placed 2nd and 3rd, respectfully, at our league championship meet on Monday.

Over 60 students from 8 middle schools raced through a technical 2 mile course at San Dieguito Park. The race was tough and gritty, pushing the mental resilience of our young athletes.

Lexine Arambulo (7th) and Adriana Telenti (8th) led the SDFAS girls team at the championship meet, placing 2nd and 3rd overall in their division. This was Arambulo’s and Telenti’s 3rd time receiving a medal (silver and bronze) for this cross-country season.

Chloe Gross and rookie 5th grader Emi Ayala-Sekiguchi all had breakthrough races this season, placing in the top of their division.

Congratulations to the entire girls team for bringing home another trophy for SDFAS!

For the boys, Nicola Redon and Giacomo Pagliuca ran an incredible race, placing 2nd and 3rd in the 6th grade division. Redon and Pagliuca have led their age division all season, and were awarded silver and bronze medals at the finals.
