Digital Citizenship Workshops

Digital citizenship is a key component of the Advisory Program in 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grades. Each grade will benefit this school year from several workshops led by our STEAM coordinator, Mr. Tregouet. On top of that, on October 11, all middle school students rotated through 4 workshops, which had defined topics and objectives:

• How do you protect your device from Spam attacks? What are Spams? What is phishing?
• How do you protect your personal data on the Internet, especially when asked to fill in a form?
• How do your protect your device from viruses?
• What are the essential shortcuts on your keyboard to write the French accents, parentheses, and special symbols?

Also, students started to reflect on their personal habits in using social media and the Internet. The data collected is a meaningful starting point to further digital citizenship awareness and education.
