On March 8th, Mrs. Jacoway organized a great field trip to the San Diego River and Sunset Cliffs Natural Preserve. Students were able to discover (for some of them) that we have a real river in San Diego and all observed the changes in flow and runoff due to the storm the previous day. Then they enjoyed lunch in front of the ocean before studying weathering and erosion on top of and below the cliffs. They enjoyed the field trip and benefited from seeing first hand topics that are taught in class.
