We had 68 out of our 79 students at the dance last Friday, January 8, along with 7 alumni guests. Ms. Denis, Mr. G and I were happy to see the students having fun – whether they were dancing, eating, hanging out, doing the Macarena, or chasing each other around. We will hold two more dances this year, one on March 18, and one on June 3. Next year, we plan to have a Homecoming Dance in the fall.
A note about paying at the door: Having the students themselves bring their $5, greet the adult at the check in table, pay, and get a stamp on their hand to show they paid is a simple, safe, age-appropriate introduction to learning to handle money — a mini life lesson.
