Yesterday June 6, we checked out of our Montreal hotel and headed out towards Quebec City!
On the way, we made one last stop at “Mont Royal”, Montreal’s namesake, where the students had panoramic views of downtown and the St. Lawrence River. Then, it was a 3 hour bus ride to La Chute Montmorency just outside Quebec City – where we did a scenic walk over a suspension bridge (over the 83 meter, 272 ft, tall waterfall), then down 487 stairs on the side of a cliff which brought us to the foot of the falls.
After lunch, we spent the afternoon in beautiful Vieux Quebec! Students hopped from monument, to ice cream parlor, to castle, to souvenir shop, to museum – navigating by map in teams, and documenting historical sites in preparation for Mme. Addo’s evening quiz challenge!
After Vieux Quebec, it was off to Defi-Evasion for the special activity! An ESCAPE ROOM! Students had one hour to find clues, unlock codes, and problem solve by working together!
For dinner, the students indulged in a buffet at Brooklyn Pizza near our hotel.
